Thanks to a great Striper season, last year, and early this year, the interest in striper fishing trips is beginning to grow. Everyone loves to fight, hold and take pictures with their striper, no matter what size it is. The striped bass is sought after for many reasons. some of them are:

Shear size and girth of a 28" keeper striper. Even better then that, the shape of the jaw kine and head will change as the size of the fish grows. A 28" striper can weigh between 6 and 15...

Well, it has been an interesting and exciting year! 2012 brought the devastation of Sandy, 2013 brought the rebuilding of our home and our lives, and in 2014 the expansion of our business. Twrecks Charters has moved onto a new phase, with a bigger boat and a new location. The new "T-WRECKS" is a 1980 38' Delta commercial dive vessel, otherwise known as a Canaveral Custom Boat. She will be located in Historic Gardner's Basin on the north end of Atlantic City, NJ. She is...

What a beautiful day for this charter, before the coming of hurricane Irene. The morning started out gorgeous as we pulled away from the dock at the Fantasy Island municipal dock in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island. Tony along with his son Connor, his friend Eric's son - Jakson enjoyed a beatufiul ride out in the Ocean in 1 to 2 foot seas. Our first stop was in 55' of water, and produced about 10 throwbacks, and 1 keeper seabass. The next stop in 75' of water produced about...

What an absolutely beautiful day on the ocean last Sunday. The slow rollers, blue skies, and very hungry fish made for a perfect day of wreck fishing. The first thing I noticed since last week, was how clear the water was at 10 miles out. When I saw the beautiful clear blue ocean, and the clear white wash from the props, I knew the Bruce McCall party was in for some awesome fishing. All told, 47 seabass, 5 Tautog and 2 triggerfish made it back to the dock. ...

The opening weekend of sea bass was very productive. Local wrecks are holding plenty of keeper size (12.5") to 16" fish. The larger fish should be moving in as the water temperature continues to rise. Whether or not the federally mandated closure of this species helped the population is yet to be seen. Mixed in with the sea bass were plenty of black-fish and porgies, but they are not in season until the mid summer, but still fun to catch.

Cod and Pollock fishing has been stellar, to say the least. All trips resulted in limit catches of cod from 8 to 25 pounds, and all the 7 to 20 pound pollock you can haul in. This year's Stellwagen bank marine sanctuary has provided the best spring fishing seen in my lifetime. Four man charters have been catching 850 to 1200 pounds of fish per trip! The best time for this fishing is mid April through June, but the early summer can be productive as well. Tight Lines!
